CDC Cowboy
This variety is one to watch for in the spring of 2008. It is a new 2 row feed and forage barley that will be an excellent choice for low input management or drought stress growing situations. CDC Cowboy barley is suitable for both grain production because of its high percentage plump kernels (93%) as well as forage (greenfeed or silage- 107% of AC Ranger & AC Lacombe in Co-op forage trials).
