Important Change for 2008 Regarding
Payment and Credit
One significant change we are making this year at Fabian Seed Farms is the process of picking up seed. This year, we are being forced to implement a hard-line stand with respect to payment. All purchases this year must be paid for prior to leaving the yard. We have tried over the years to work with a "pick up and pay later" approach, but because of repeated abuse we are left with no other choice than to eliminate this option due to delinquent accounts that raise our costs, not to mention the aggravation of trying to collect after the fact. If you are requiring credit for year 2008 seed/chemical/inoculant needs, we would be happy to get you a Scotia Bank Agricultural Line of Credit Kit. This has proven to be a very popular choice for producer's seeding needs. It has excellent payment terms, and if the application is less than $50,000 the loan is unsecured. We will still be accepting payments by MasterCard and Visa, but we will be surcharge 2% to your total bill, reflecting the additional costs that are passed on to us. Ag-Line will be surcharged at 3.4%. Please keep this in mind, if you are having someone else pick up your seed to make appropriate arrangements. These will be the only terms that seed will leave our yard.
